Getfitter.com's '28 Days to a Great Beach Body' Workout Program and Detox Diet have been scientifically designed to maximise the amount of fat you will lose, and tone you up in the quickest possible time.  The workout has been designed around something called the ‘Tabata Method’ which has proven to be hugely effective at stripping fat from the body.

The four week workout program consists of 3 different workouts: Tabata ‘1’, Tabata ‘2 and Tabata ‘3’.  We recommend that you perform each of the workouts once every week.  Start with Tabata ‘1’ on day 1 and then allow yourself day 2 to recover.  Perform Tabata ‘2’ on day 3, rest for another day, and then perform Tabata ‘3’ on day 5. 

Once you have completed all three Tabatas, rest for two days before starting the cycle again.  By the end of the four weeks, you will have performed each Tabata workout four times - once a week.

Each Tabata involves completing an intense twenty second burst of one exercise, followed by 10 seconds rest, followed by twenty seconds of a different exercise.  This superset is repeated three more times.  After a minute’s break another, different, superset is completed four times.  Two more ‘four by four’ supersets are carried out, with different exercises each time.

During each exercise, you should aim to maintain as high an intensity as you can manage, without compromising the form/technique of the exercise.  If you feel that your technique is beginning to slip, you must slow your pace until good technique returns.

 


Example Week Plan:

Monday - Tabata ‘1’ 

Wednesday - Tabata ‘2’ 

Friday - Tabata ‘3’ 

Saturday and Sunday to rest 

Repeat 

 



Each Tabata workout will only take around 20 minutes, including warm-up, and is carefully targeted to work all major muscle groups and burn maximum calories in the shortest possible time.
